Daremi Quarterly

Documenting the Standards Behind Each Article

Daremi Quarterly operates under a defined editorial methodology. This page sets out the full process — from source selection to publication — applied to every article on sleep, overnight recovery, and weight balance.

Founding Principles

Daremi Quarterly operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

These principles were established when the publication was founded and have not been revised. They apply equally to all contributors — staff writers, commissioned features, and guest pieces from external researchers.

Daremi Quarterly is an independent editorial publication focused on everyday wellness practices. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

01

Subject Identification

Article subjects are drawn from the editorial calendar, which is built around published research activity in sleep science and nutritional biology. Subjects are proposed by the editorial team and reviewed for relevance and proportionality before any writing begins.

02

Source Gathering

Writers assemble a reference list before drafting begins. Sources must be published in a named journal, institution, or verified news outlet. Anonymised internet sources and undated references are not accepted. The research editor reviews the source list prior to drafting.

03

Drafting & First Review

The writer produces a full draft against the agreed source list. On submission, a first review is conducted by the research editor, checking factual accuracy, proportionality of claims, and consistency between the copy and its cited sources.

04

Editorial Second Read

Following first review, the article passes to a second editor who has not been involved in the drafting process. This editor checks tone, structure, and identifies any assertions that require additional sourcing or revision. No article is published without this second read.

05

Publication & Correction

Approved articles are published with a full byline and date. Where a correction is subsequently identified, it is noted publicly within the article text and dated. Significant revisions are logged at the foot of the article. The publication does not amend text without marking the change.

Source and Verification Standards

All research cited in Daremi Quarterly articles is drawn from published, peer-reviewed sources. Where a study is referenced, the full citation is available on request. The publication does not accept industry-funded research as a primary source unless the funding source is disclosed and the findings are corroborated by independent research.

Content published by Daremi Quarterly is selected based on published nutritional research and undergoes independent batch verification for quality and labelling accuracy. When a research paper or source is updated or retracted after publication, the article in question is reviewed and updated accordingly.

Writers are required to distinguish between peer-reviewed findings, expert commentary, and editorial observation within the body of each article. These distinctions shape the language used: peer-reviewed findings are reported as findings, expert commentary is attributed to the named individual, and editorial observation is clearly marked as such.

Articles published on Daremi Quarterly are editorial in nature and reflect the writers' observations on everyday wellness practices. The content is not intended as professional advice, nor as guidance for the management of any specific condition. Readers with specific concerns about their daily routines are encouraged to speak with a qualified wellness professional.

We recommend speaking with a qualified wellness or nutrition professional before introducing any new habit or routine to your daily life, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements.

Commercial Independence

Daremi Quarterly carries no advertising and accepts no sponsored content. The publication is funded through reader subscriptions and a small number of institutional grants for independent editorial publishing. No funder has editorial input.

Writers and editors are required to disclose any commercial relationship with a subject before an article is commissioned. Where a conflict of interest is identified, the article is either reassigned or the conflict is disclosed prominently within the published piece.

How Corrections Are Handled

When an error is identified in a published article — whether by the editorial team, a reader, or a cited source — the correction is introduced within 48 hours. The corrected passage is marked inline with a dated correction note. Minor typographic corrections are made without notation; factual corrections are always publicly logged.

Readers who identify a potential error are encouraged to write to the editorial team at [email protected]. All correspondence about published content is reviewed by the editor in chief.

Topics are drawn from the editorial calendar, which is informed by newly published research in sleep science and nutritional biology. The editorial team reviews proposed topics against current publication balance — ensuring that no single angle on the sleep-weight connection is overrepresented across a given quarter.
Primary sources are peer-reviewed journal articles and institutional research reports. Secondary sources — expert commentary, investigative journalism, and field observations — are accepted where they are clearly attributed and used to contextualise, not replace, primary evidence. Anonymous or undated sources are not accepted.
